Haaland Urges Concentration Following Crucial Win Against Arsenal

Erling Haaland was thrilled following City's 2-1 victory over league leaders Arsenal, emphasizing the need for the team to stay focused as the season progresses.

Goals from Rayan Cherki and Haaland, sandwiching a Kai Havertz equaliser, earned Pep Guardiola’s team three essential points in the Premier League.

This win moves us within three points of the Gunners, with a game in hand, giving us the upper hand in the Premier League title race.

With six league matches remaining, along with an FA Cup semi-final next weekend, Haaland calls for the squad to maintain focus and determination as they navigate the closing stages of the campaign.

“I was quite happy, I have to be honest. It was a great moment for me. A great win,” said Haaland in a post-match interview.

“I think it’s always like this, lots of fighting and these kinds of things. What can I say, it’s always nice.

“It’s for others to decide if I won the battle or not. In that moment of the goal I won it. It was a good cross, and the finish was perfect. I think it was a great goal and a decisive moment and in the end we won.

“Every game is a final. Now when we are done speaking here, it’s starting to prepare for Burnley. That game is as important as this one.

“We need to focus. We need to stay humble, don’t think too much and focus on the next game.”

Haaland also praised captain Bernardo Silva for his exceptional performance, contributing both defensively and offensively throughout the match.

“I think I remember that cross when he headed it out. I just told him he was like [Fabio] Cannavaro,” Haaland remarked.

“Today Bernie, I’m not going to make you emotional, you were really good as usual.”
