Man City’s Haaland praises teammate Silva following Arsenal victory, calling him ‘like Cannavaro’ on.

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland found himself in some controversy after celebrating his team's 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Sunday.

This victory brought Manchester City within three points of the Premier League summit, with Haaland’s squad still having a game in hand.

The match started with an early goal from Cherki, followed by a misstep from Italy's Gianluigi Donnarumma that allowed Kai Havertz to level the score shortly after.

Despite Arsenal's strong effort, the Norwegian forward netted a goal in the second half, right after the Gunners hit the woodwork.

Following the game, Haaland was interviewed by Sky Sport alongside teammate Bernardo Silva.

While discussing a header won by the Portuguese midfielder against Swedish forward Victor Gyokeres, Haaland compared Silva to “like f***ing Cannavaro” – referencing the legendary Italy defender and Ballon d'Or winner.

Sky had to apologise for the striker’s language, which has been censored in all public statements.
