Tottenham vs Brighton: Match Preview, Start Time, Team Updates, Broadcast Info, Live Streaming, Head-to-Head Results, and Today’s Odds

Spurs in must-win territory as they desperately bid to escape relegation zone

For the first time this season, Spurs head into a new matchweek sitting in the bottom three after the newly-appointed Roberto De Zerbi lost his first match in charge at Sunderland.

Tottenham are now two points adrift of 17th-place West Ham and will require nothing less than a win here to quell fans’ growing anxiety of relegation for the first time since 1977.

However, they face a challenging opponent in the Premier League’s in-form side, Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls.

Brighton have secured five wins in their last six league fixtures and can set their sights on a European finish by maintaining this form.

They are confident of claiming three points in north London, with Spurs struggling to find form and still winless in the Premier League in 2026.

Tottenham vs Brighton team news

Tottenham’s poor form has been exacerbated by ongoing injuries, with captain Cristian Romero expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury from a collision with Antonin Kinsky at the Stadium of Light.

Additionally, Guglielmo Vicario is still unavailable in goal after undergoing hernia surgery, and Mohammed Kudus is sidelined following a setback in his recovery from a quad injury.

Dejan Kulusevski remains out along with James Maddison, Wilson Odobert, and Ben Davies.

On a more positive note, Rodrigo Bentancur has returned to training post-hamstring surgery.

Brighton, on their end, are missing Stefanos Tzimas and Adam Webster due to knee ligament injuries, with both unlikely to return this season.

Lewis Dunk will miss this match due to suspension, and James Milner is also sidelined with an injury.

Tottenham vs Brighton prediction

Although Spurs showed moments of promise against Sunderland, they failed to find the net, resulting in another disappointing defeat, their seventh in eight league outings.

With De Zerbi having had another week of training, he faces the immense challenge of turning around the struggling team.

Facing the club he once managed, the Italian will be eager for three points, but the effectiveness of just five days of training remains uncertain.

Given Brighton's form, another difficult match is anticipated for Spurs.

Brighton to win, 2-0.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Historically, Spurs have a favorable record against Brighton, having secured twice as many wins, yet the last encounter ended in a dramatic draw.

Tottenham, down 2-0 early on, managed to draw level thanks to an own goal by Jan Paul van Hecke.

Brighton wins: 9

Draws: 5

Tottenham to win: 2/1

Brighton to win: 6/5

Draw: 29/10
