What is the date of the Women’s Champions League quarter-final draw?

The group stage of the Women’s Champions League has come to an end, and fans are now informed about the seeded and unseeded teams for the quarter-final draw.

Seeded teams are those clubs that finished at the top of their groups. These clubs include Chelsea, Barcelona, Arsenal, and Lyon. The teams finishing as runners-up are Manchester City, Wolfsburg, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

So, when will the draw happen? Will the path for the semi-finals be determined at the same time? Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the Women’s Champions League quarter-final draw?

The quarter-final draw for the Women’s Champions League is scheduled for February 7. The group winners, or seeded clubs, will match up against the runners-up.

There will be no country protection, allowing teams from the same country to face each other in the knockout rounds. For instance, Group B winners Chelsea could meet Group D runners-up Manchester City.

The runners-up of each group will host the first leg of the quarter-finals, which are set to occur on March 18/19 and 26/27.

The semi-finals are planned for April 19/20 and 26/27, and the draw for these will also take place on February 7, allowing teams to see their potential route to the final.

Defending champions Barcelona are strong favorites to secure the trophy yet again, particularly following an impressive performance against Manchester City in their last group match.

To finish atop their group, Barca needed to defeat City by two goals or more and achieved this with a 3-0 victory. According to eScored, the defending champions are likely to prevail in the competition once more.

However, the score against City does not fully represent the match, as City goalkeeper Khiara Keating delivered a remarkable performance with 15 saves throughout the game.

Should the Spanish powerhouse lift the trophy again, they will do so in Lisbon, Portugal.

The final is set to take place at Estádio José Alvalade on May 24.
