Arsenal Player Asks Agent to Secure a New Team Following Snub: Report

An Arsenal player has instructed his agents to facilitate his departure from the Emirates Stadium, coinciding with the Gunners' ongoing struggles in the league.

Mikel Arteta's squad currently sits three points ahead of Manchester City and four points behind Chelsea, having secured only eight wins from their initial 16 matches in the Premier League. The goalless stalemate with Everton emphasized their recent lack of offensive creativity, prompting several supporters to express their dissatisfaction regarding the team's challenges in scoring during open play.

Arsenal is set to face Crystal Palace this week in League Cup action, offering a much-needed break from their league happenings – but they may encounter a busy transfer window in January as they seek to address their issues.

Arteta has indicated that there may be movement in the upcoming transfer window, stating that while he does not anticipate being “super busy” during winter, there could be “some surprises,” reminiscent of January 2023's addition of Leandro Trossard.

“Some surprises can come. We are prepared for that. Some opportunities too,” he expressed. “We have to see. Hopefully, the availability of the squad will improve in a few weeks. We must wait and observe.”

Arteta may need to take action to fill the void left by a departing player – possibly the surprise he hints at. According to the Italian newspaper Il Mattino, via Tuttomercatoweb, it has emerged that Jakub Kiwior is keen on a move away.

The Polish defender has reportedly requested his agents to “find him a new team” after being left out of the lineup against Everton. This decision followed Kiwior's participation in the previous four matches as a centre-back, filling in for the injured Gabriel, while teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly was preferred at left-back.

Napoli is reported to be the leading candidate for Kiwior's signature, with their €15 million offer believed to be €10 million short of Arsenal's asking price.

According to eScored, Kiwior is likely to leave next month – but only if that €25 million valuation is met.

Every player comes with a price, and Kiwior is among the more marketable players within the Arsenal roster. He clearly seeks additional playing time – yet Arteta would be hesitant to lose a key squad member midseason unless a compelling offer is received.

Kiwior is valued at €30 million according to Transfermarkt.
