Ruben Amorim Issues Ultimatum to Man Utd Players Before Man City Showdown

Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, has cautioned his players to prepare for a vigorous comeback from Manchester City as they aim to break their current slump in .

City has managed only one victory in their last ten matches and comes into Sunday’s contest facing significant pressure, which could escalate drastically if they are defeated by United at home.

Despite City‘s dismal performance, Amorim is fully aware of the challenge ahead and emphasized that his players should not expect anything less than the best from Pep Guardiola’s beleaguered squad.

“The great teams can respond at any moment,” he stated. “I believe they have a deeper understanding of the game, their style of play, and the confidence they carry.

“Even in these challenging times, we must focus heavily on our own team. Our approach is scrupulous; of course, we will have a game plan aimed at winning, but our entire focus is directed at ourselves.”

“We are up against a formidable opponent, and my attention remains on our own difficulties. We have many aspects to address, thus my concentration is on what we need to do on Sunday to achieve victory. I am truly focused on my team.”

Amorim further expressed his discontent regarding the nature of his inaugural Manchester derby, asserting that the rivalry between the city’s top clubs should center around the Premier League title rather than simply trying to stay competitive.

“I aspire to elevate the team, so I cannot view it as a typical derby – as a clash between two top-tier teams contending for the title,” the United head coach remarked. “Currently, it is not that way. It’s merely another match against a solid opponent.

“Both teams find themselves in a difficult situation, so I hope in the future to experience the genuine atmosphere of a derby. I recognize its importance for our supporters. However, my priority now is to improve the team, secure wins, and I will aim to win this game.”

Amorim’s objectives may be complicated by alleged on social media before the match.
