Manchester United vs. West Ham: Team News, Predicted Lineup, and Injury Updates for Premier League Match |
Summer signing set to return from injury at Old Trafford
The summer signing has sat out the loss to Everton and win at Crystal Palace with a knocked picked up in training.
United head coach Ruben Amorim said ahead of the victory at Selhurst Park at Cunha as targeting a return against West Ham on Thursday, telling reporters: “I expect to have Matheus in the next one [vs West Ham not this one [vs Crystal Palace].”
It remains to be seen if Cunha comes straight into the starting lineup after Mason Mount and Joshua Zirkzee both scord against Palace, with a place on the bench perhaps more likely.
Fellow forward Benjamin Sekso remains sidelined with a knee injury for a couple more weeks, with Harry Maguire's thigh issue ruling the defender out for a similar length of time.
Leny Yoro could be handed a rest, with Noussair Mazraoui pushing for return, in an otherwise unchanged back line.
Bruno Fernandes will continue in a midfield two alongside Casemiro.
Manchester United predicted XI: Lammens; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Shaw; Diallo, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Mount; Zirkzee
Doubt: Cunha (knock)
Injured: Sesko (knee) and Magiure (thigh)
Time and date: 8pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025
