Manchester City Set to Make Stunning €150m Bid for Real Madrid Star: Report

Manchester City is reportedly contemplating a record-breaking €150 million bid for a current star from Real Madrid.

However, it appears that the Sky Blues have yet to solidify their wide roles with a standout player.

Yet, even he may face competition for playing time if City successfully completes this deal.

This is due to City potentially making a blockbuster €150 million offer for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

City previously expressed interest in fellow Los Blancos star Rodrygo during the summer, as per Fabrizio Romano, but that signing did not materialize.

Now, Vinicius Jr appears to be the next target, with reports indicating he currently does not wish to renew his contract with Madrid, amid a strained relationship with coach Xabi Alonso.

According to the Spanish report, Real Madrid’s main goal is to retain the winger but acknowledges that such a substantial offer would be difficult to refuse.

The 25-year-old's deal at the Bernabeu extends until 2027, suggesting Los Blancos might need to consider a sale soon if a renewal does not appear likely, to avoid losing him for free.

In the view of eScored, completing this deal would pose significant challenges for City.

Not only would the transfer fee represent a major hurdle for a player soon entering the last year of his contract, but Vini Jr's salary alongside Haaland's at the club would exert considerable pressure on the pay structure at the Etihad Stadium.

Nonetheless, it would provide Guardiola with one of the most formidable attacking line-ups ever assembled.

Valued at €150 million, Vinicius Jr is a target for City as they prepare to face Fulham when Premier League action resumes this week.
