Man City vs Fulham: Today’s Premier League Lineup, Team Updates, and Injury News on
Man City are heading to the capital once more, but they’ll have to do so without Rodri. Fortunately for Pep Guardiola, he’s got a nearly fully fit squad to select from.
Manchester City are set to take on Fulham tonight, but Rodri will be missing again.
The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner has been battling fitness issues this season, trying to make his way back from an ACL injury that kept him out for most of last year, and is now grappling with a pesky hamstring issue.
There was hope that Rodri would be back in action after the November internationals, but it seems that’s been pushed back a bit.
In a quick-fire pre-match chat on Monday, Pep Guardiola mentioned that Rodri was “not yet” fit to play, and therefore won’t be making the trip to Craven Cottage.
Rodri is the only immediate worry for City, as Mateo Kovacic is still out long-term after ankle surgery.
This leaves Guardiola with a solid selection to choose from.
After his last-minute tinkering against Bayer Leverkusen didn’t quite come off—his side suffered a 2-0 defeat at the Etihad in the Champions League—he got back to basics against Leeds, where City snatched a thrilling 3-2 victory. There were, however, a couple of tweaks to his starting lineup.

Sticking with his winning formula, Guardiola fields the same XI tonight. Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders will partner Nico in the midfield, with Phil Foden on the right wing.
At the back, it’s a steady ship with Nico O'Reilly and Matheus Nunes holding down the full-back positions.
Starting Man City XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Silva, Nico, Reijnders; Foden, Haaland, Doku
Subs: Trafford, Ake, Ait-Nouri, Cherki, Khusanov, Lewis, Stones, Marmoush, Savinho
Injured: Kovacic, Rodri
