Erling Haaland Sets Incredible New Record – Is He the Greatest Striker in Premier League History?
Erling Haaland is at it again, making waves for Manchester City with a staggering 100 Premier League goals under his belt.
After finding the net in last night’s victory against Fulham, Haaland has outpaced every other player to hit 100 Premier League goals. You could say he’s really smashing it!
According to a deep dive by BBC Sport, he reached this milestone in just 111 appearances, putting him ahead of legends like Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, and Thierry Henry.

Alan Shearer, the legend from Newcastle, still holds the record for most Premier League goals, but Haaland’s accomplishment in 13 fewer matches suggests he’s set to break records left, right, and centre if he keeps this up at City.
Take a look at his astonishing statistic—one goal every 93 minutes. It’s quite impressive, isn’t it?
What’s more, Shearer’s not even in the top five for quickest to 100 goals, owing to his lengthy career at the summit of the game.
Considering Haaland is just 25, he’s got plenty of time to edge past Shearer’s ultimate tally of 260 Premier League goals.
Will Haaland Lead City to Another Title?
City clinched the treble in Haaland’s debut season and bagged another title in 2023/24, but they’ve slipped to third place last term.

Pep Guardiola’s lads are currently chasing Arsenal in this season’s title scrap, but Haaland’s relentless scoring prowess surely makes them contenders for the top spot.
One worry for City, though, is the number of goals they’re letting slip through, barely managing a 5-4 win away at Fulham and a nail-biting 3-2 victory at home to Leeds.
That’s a whopping six goals conceded over just two league games, which is just a whisker away from what Arsenal have shipped all season.
Yet, there’s no denying that a top-notch striker can save the day, so the big question is: do you reckon City can catch the Gunners? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
