Arsenal Intensifies Pursuit of PSG Star as Player Shows Interest in English Move

Arsenal are reportedly pursuing a Paris Saint-Germain superstar alongside several competitors, with another highly-rated player being considered at the Emirates.

Currently leading the Premier League, the Gunners sit second in total goals. There's potential for this number to grow, as four players are tied with four goals each.

With more striking options, someone could potentially outshine the others and add further firepower to the Arsenal lineup.

Reports suggest that PSG’s Bradley Barcola might be that individual.

Arsenal making a ‘strong move’ for Barcola

PSG has recently initiated talks with Barcelona’s representatives regarding a new deal for the winger, who has recorded five goals and three assists this season.

Despite a lucrative offer on the table, Barcola and his agent are contemplating their options, as Premier League clubs ramp up their interest.

Liverpool has also been linked to the French forward.

Arsenal is said to be making a ‘strong move’ for Barcola, and his dissatisfaction with his current role at PSG may facilitate a transfer.

The winger is also attracting interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, though that is reportedly not his main focus.

German left-back ‘well-liked’ at the Emirates

Arsenal is exploring potential reinforcements, particularly eyeing German left-back Nathaniel Brown.

Reports indicate that the twice-capped defender is “really well-liked” by the Gunners, as well as Manchester City and Barcelona.

He is expected to command a transfer fee of €50 million (£43.7 million) following one goal and three assists this season.

A source remarked: “His defensive discipline, reading of the game, and tactical versatility make him a strong fit for English football. His current wage level is also manageable for Premier League clubs.”

TEAMtalk sources have confirmed Brown is on Arsenal’s radar and noted that he is keen on a move to England, viewing it as a necessary step in his development.

Arteta could consider exit

The future of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta remains uncertain. He has led the Gunners to three consecutive second-place finishes and a Champions League semi-final last season, with strong performances throughout this term.

However, Gunners legend Emmanuel Petit believes Arteta could seek new opportunities in the future.

He stated: “He could be tempted to return to Spain, especially to a club he played for as a youth. Honestly, with the work he’s doing, if he wins something this season, I could see him saying, ‘I’ve achieved this with Arsenal after almost seven years. It might be time to look for something else.’

“I would understand. Barcelona is one of the best clubs in the world. ‘Returning to Spain sounds appealing for my family.’ If I were him, I might say, ‘I’m going to Barcelona, but we need changes, particularly in defense.’ It’s very clear: you might compete for the title in Spain, but battling for the Champions League is another story.”
