Agent of Juventus Star Unveils Liverpool Transfer Rejection

The representative of Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio disclosed that his client turned down Liverpool last summer prior to his move to Turin.

The Reds were rumored to be scouting various goalkeepers during Arne Slot’s debut transfer window due to considerable interest in their backup keeper, Caoimhin Kelleher.

Di Gregorio, who showcased his talents during a significant stint at Monza, was reportedly one of their top choices, with his agent, Carlo Alberto Belloni, now verifying Liverpool‘s interest in the Italian shot-stopper.

In an interview with Tuttosport after Juventus’ recent against Manchester City, Belloni stated: “We declined Liverpool’s offer in the summer to become part of the Juventus project.”

“He is putting in a lot of effort to keep developing. He’s even set up a gym at home to train on his off days. He has an exceptional mindset, and he is eager to be part of a Juventus team that aims to create history and win significant trophies.”

Di Gregorio has made a mark with a resolute Juventus defense this season, achieving seven clean sheets in 11 Serie A games and two additional shutouts in the Champions League during the recent clashes against Aston Villa and Man City.

Although Liverpool missed the chance to sign Di Gregorio in the summer, they . The club acquired the 24-year-old for £29.6m and then loaned him back to Valencia for the season.

Ultimately, Kelleher also remained at Anfield and has frequently stepped into action this season due to a long-term injury to first-choice keeper Alisson. The Reds currently possess two of the top talents in the field and have another set to join them next summer.
