Real Madrid Announces Decision on £50m Superstar Amid Premier League Interest

Real Madrid has outlined its strategy for the January transfer window, aiming to strengthen their squad for the latter part of the season.

Currently sitting in second place in La Liga, behind Barcelona, Real Madrid is in danger of not progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League, currently positioned 24th as they enter the sixth matchday.

This scenario likely means two additional matches in February, making it essential for Real Madrid to have as many fit players as possible. Consequently, the club has made important transfer decisions ahead of the January window.

Having logged just 149 minutes this season for Real Madrid, there was speculation regarding Endrick’s future at the Bernabeu. The young Brazilian, who joined from Palmeiras in the summer for £50m, has had limited opportunities to play.

Interest from Premier League clubs in securing him on loan for the rest of the season emerged, with a proposed arrangement allowing him more regular playing time and contributing significantly to his loan club’s efforts.

Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, has dismissed any rumors of Endrick leaving in January and has also discussed the future of Arda Guler.

“Endrick stays here, as does Guler,” Ancelotti stated in his pre-Atalanta press briefing. “They may require more minutes, but I have no biases towards anyone. I simply aim to field the best team for each match, regardless of age. Sometimes this lineup will include Endrick, Guler, or neither of them.

“Patience is necessary with young players, yes. They bring energy, but due to their youth, they also need to learn certain aspects. I hold no biases against young talent: throughout my career, I have utilized players aged 17 or 18 if I believed they were suited for the game.”

Despite limited playtime, Endrick has scored twice and provided an assist this season. At just 18, he still has ample opportunity for growth and to learn from Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Rodrygo.

In the opinion of eScored, it’s clear why Real Madrid wishes to retain the young talent, particularly as he may find more consistent playing time as the season progresses.
