Juventus Director Addresses Transfer Speculations Involving Man Utd Striker Joshua Zirkzee

Juventus’ technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has dismissed speculation regarding the club’s interest in Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.

suggested that Zirkzee was already looking to end his Manchester United tenure, despite having just joined in the summer, with Juventus among the clubs interested in the Dutch forward.

There were rumors that Zirkzee aimed to reunite with former Bologna coach Thiago Motta, who is now managing at Juventus. The two had a successful partnership during their time in northern Italy, with Zirkzee netting 11 goals in Serie A last season, helping Bologna secure a spot in the Champions League.

His stellar performance prompted Manchester United, under the management of his fellow Dutchman Erik ten Hag, to invest £36.5m in the former Bayern Munich player, though he has faced challenges adapting to the English game.

The 23-year-old has found the net only three times for the Red Devils—scoring once on his debut against Fulham and twice during the recent .

In response to the rumors about Zirkzee as the January transfer window approaches, Giuntoli was non-committal about the club’s ambitions and reiterated their support for the injured Arkadiusz Milik.

“We are waiting for Milik,” Giuntoli remarked. “Zirkzee is a very good player, but he is contracted to Man Utd. I can’t say more at this point; our focus is on different matters right now.”

Similarly, Juventus manager Motta was vague in a recent press event when he addressed transfer issues, claiming: “There is excellent cooperation with the club regarding the transfer market, but I don’t wish to elaborate on that at the moment.”
